A stampede at Awsaneshwar Mahadev temple in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki has killed two people and injured 19 others. According to District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi, monkeys jumped onto an electric wire, causing it to fall on a shed. "This led to an electric current passing through the structure," he said, adding, "The situation is otherwise under control."
