How did Vicks become a ₹500 crore brand?

In 1964, Vicks entered India by introducing VapoRub, a topical ointment for multi-symptom relief. It introduced ₹1 and ₹5 packs. Later, it also launched Vicks Cough Drops. Today, Vicks is present in more than 5 million stores and clocks annual sales of more than ₹500 crore.
