An outdoor mist cooling system in China, dubbed "Outdoor AC", has gone viral for providing relief from heat. The system includes nozzles installed on the rooftops of high-rises, which emit ultra-fine water mist into the air. Working on the principle of evaporative cooling, the water droplets absorb heat from the surroundings, lowering ambient temperatures by 1-3°C without soaking people.
