Many countries have adopted different approaches to tackle stray dog problem. Morocco adopted Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return scheme, wherein dogs are trapped, neutered, vaccinated and returned to original locations. In Turkey, it's mandatory to place stray dogs in shelters and euthanise terminally ill dogs. Netherlands ran government-funded sterilisation programme and criminalised abandoning dogs.
