China has the world's third most powerful military, after USA and Russia, and spends $161 billion annually on defence. On the other hand, India's defence budget is around $51 billion. India has 2,102 military aircraft, as compared to China's 2,955, while both countries have one active aircraft carrier. Further, India's 1,325,000 active military personnel lag behind China's 2,335,000.
