How does a ₹90,000 annual investment in SIP compare with PPF?

Considering a 15-year time period, an annual investment of ₹90,000 (or ₹7,500/month) in a SIP at 12% expected rate of return will give a corpus of ₹37.8 lakh. The same annual investment in a PPF, however, will have a 7.1% expected rate of return and generate a corpus of ₹24.4 lakh. The two investment options differ in risk and returns.
