How does a 90-hour work week affect the body?

According to experts, a 90-hour work week can lead to heightened stress levels that can negatively impact physical as well as mental health. A cardiac surgeon said elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol "can increase blood pressure and heart rate...which raise the risk of heart disease". Persistent high cortisol can also contribute to insulin resistance, an endocrinologist said.
