Nepal's House of Representatives elects 275 members for a five-year term using a mixed electoral system. A total of 165 members (60%) are directly elected, where the candidate with the highest number of votes wins. For the remaining 110 members (40%), people vote for political parties instead of candidates, and seats are divided according to vote share a party gets.
