Pakistan is witnessing a dip in its unaccounted dollar inflows through the hundi-hawala network amid the Iran war, Dawn reported. Instead of moving money internationally via banks, the network uses 'hawaladars' to settle transactions through personal networks and cash, as 'khapiyas' transport goods to Dubai illegally. The war has slashed demand in Gulf countries, in turn weakening the network.
