How does the body fall asleep and what is a good sleep?
short by Ankush Verma / on Thursday, 8 August, 2024
Sleep usually follows circadian rhythm which responds to light cues. When body senses light is reducing, during night, it starts producing more of sleep-inducing melatonin hormone, thus helping it to fall asleep. A good sleep is when you fall asleep within 30 minutes of going to bed and wake up for no more than 5 minutes in the night.
