How does the falling Indian rupee affect the common man?

The Indian rupee breached the 95-mark against the US dollar on Monday. A falling rupee affects Indians' daily life as it makes travelling abroad and sending money overseas costlier. A falling rupee will make imports and import-dependent goods, like electronics and fertilisers, costlier. A rise in fuel prices will make transport costlier, which may push prices of domestic goods higher.
