The new UEFA Champions League format will come into use in the 2024-25 season. Here 36 clubs will go head-to-head in a single league phase. These teams will play eight matches after which the top eight teams directly qualify for the Round of 16. The remaining teams will be decided after the knockout playoff with teams between 9th and 24th.
