Bangladesh's ongoing political turmoil around violent protests and PM Sheikh Hasina's resignation has massively impacted India-Bangladesh border, as per reports. Trade worth $300 million (around ₹2,518 crore) has so far been affected with movement of trucks coming to a standstill at multiple checkpoints. Shopkeepers and others are reporting 80% decline in business activity in the border states.
