According to a Visa report, active credit cards rose by 47% in category A cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune from 2019 to 2023-24. It added that in category C+ cities like Tumkur, Sangli and Karur, this figure was 197%. The credit card to debit card ratio was 3:10 for category A cities in 2010 and 1:1 in 2023-24.
