How India fares against other economies in IMF growth forecasts?

India remains the fastest-growing major economy, with the IMF projecting 7% growth in both 2026 and 2027, raising its forecasts by 0.6 and 0.3 percentage points, respectively, from July. China is expected to grow 4.5% this year. Nigeria is forecast to grow 4.2% in 2026, followed by Spain (2.5%), US (2.3%), Brazil (2.2%), Mexico (1.5%), Germany and UK (1.3% each).
