ChatGPT-maker OpenAI's 38-year-old CEO Sam Altman, who doesn't own equity in OpenAI, is worth at least $2 billion and bulk of his traceable wealth comes from $1.2 billion invested in a set of VC funds, Bloomberg reported. He has $434 million in funds at Apollo Projects, which invests in "moonshots". Altman-linked funds own 8.7% of Reddit, which is planning IPO.
