To ensure uninterrupted gas availability amid ongoing war in West Asia, government invoked Essential Commodities Act, 1955, to regulate the production, allocation, and distribution of natural gas. Priority allocation, directing refineries to increase LPG production, and imposing 25-day gap between domestic LPG refill bookings are steps taken by government. It is also diversifying sourcing routes.
