Indian Railways is preparing a multi-pronged strategy to stop theft of blankets, bedsheets, towels, and pillows from AC coaches. It's planning to use Coach Mitra app to digitally monitor the issue and return of bedrolls. It may also QR tag the items. Several divisions are installing CCTV cameras in coaches, and staff have been instructed to collect used bedrolls promptly.
