How long does it take for hair to grow after cancer treatment?

Cancer treatments can lead to extensive hair loss. While hair may start regrowing 4-6 weeks after the treatment is over, it also differs from before in texture and colour. After 12 months, hair may be long enough to brush. Chemotherapy drugs target rapidly dividing cells, including cancer cells, but they can also affect healthy cells like hair follicles.
