Congress lost the Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, while it defeated BRS in Telangana. Congress is now in power in Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka. Congress has majority support in these states. Meanwhile, it shares power with alliance partners in Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Jharkhand.
