How Miswak branched out to become toothbrush king

Miswak, twigs from the Salvadora persica tree, locally called Peelu or jaal has been used for dental hygiene in India and across Asia for thousands of years. Its wood naturally contains salts and resins that clean teeth and strengthen gums, while studies confirm its antibacterial properties. Recently, European companies have started selling it as a "raw toothbrush" at premium prices.
