Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that televisions above 32 inches, dishwashers, and air-conditioners will now be taxed at 18% instead of 28% starting September 22. Consumers could see price drops of ₹2,000 for 43-inch TVs, up to ₹23,000 for 75-inch models, while ACs and dishwashers may see cuts of ₹3,500–₹4,500 per unit, according to experts.
