Sony Pictures Networks India had held the media rights for the first 10 years of IPL (2008 to 2017), for which it paid about ₹8,200 crore. Star India had won the IPL media rights for 2018 to 2022 cycle for ₹16,347 crore. The BCCI has set the reserve price at ₹32,890 crore for the 2023-27 cycle of the IPL.
