How much do India's MLAs earn & what perks do they get?

Unlike MPs, whose salaries are fixed by Parliament, MLA salaries are decided by individual state legislatures. Telangana reportedly paid its MLAs the highest salary at ₹2.75 lakh in 2025, while Kerala MLAs earned ₹70,000/month. Besides salaries, MLAs receive constituency, office, travel, daily, housing, medical, communication and vehicle allowances, along with other state-specific benefits.
