Tomato prices have shot up to ₹100 per kilogram in several cities including Noida, Raipur, Agartala, Dhar and Bhubaneswar. In cities like UP's Gorakhpur, Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari, Karnataka's Bellary and Kerala's Ernakulam, tomatoes are being sold between ₹110-122 per kilogram. Factors like delayed monsoons, high temperatures and low production are being blamed for the high prices of tomatoes.
