According to dietitian Garima, persimmons contain natural sugars and dietary fiber that modulate glycemic response in diabetes. Eating half a persimmon is recommended to keep sugar levels manageable while enjoying its taste and nutrients. One whole fruit may spike blood sugar for many. Monitoring glucose 1–2 hours after the first few servings is advised.
