How much tax deduction can senior citizens with no health insurance claim on medical bills?

Resident senior citizens without health insurance can claim a tax deduction of up to ₹50,000 on eligible medical expenses. The benefit is available only for actual medical costs incurred during the financial year. Seniors can claim it for their own bills, while children can claim the deduction for medical expenses paid for their uninsured senior citizen parents.
