The Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) increase happens twice a year. The first time is at the beginning of the year in January and second in July. Looking at the current trend, there is a possibility of 3% increase in DA/DR from July. DA/DR of central employees and pensioners can increase from the current 55% to 58%.
