In Rajasthan's Sirohi, solar-powered milk chillers are preventing large milk losses caused by extreme heat and long travel distances. Via Asha Mahila and WWF India, 10 villages now use instant chillers that cool milk in minutes. The technology has improved quality, increased income for women farmers, reduced diesel use and strengthened confidence and independence among thousands of rural women.
