How to calculate pension under EPFO's Employees Pension Scheme?

Pension for salaried employees covered under EPFO's Employees Pension Scheme depends on their pensionable wage and the number of years they worked covered by the scheme. The formula to calculate monthly pension is to multiply pensionable wage with pensionable years of service, divided by 70. Pensionable wage is capped at ₹15,000 monthly if a person doesn't opt for higher pension.
