How to identify 'zombie' stocks in a portfolio?

An investment is considered a "zombie investment" when it remains in a portfolio even though the original reason for holding it may no longer be valid, Anand Rathi Wealth's Arjun Guha Thakurta said. He noted that investors need to assess whether a stock still fits their portfolio. Thakurta suggested reviewing its performance, comparing peers and checking for weak earnings.
