A man in MP lost ₹2 lakh in a WhatsApp image scam after downloading an image file sent using WhatsApp. To stay safe from the scam, disable the auto-download feature on the app and never download photos and videos sent by unknown numbers. Don't open links sent by such numbers and ignore/block calls and messages that seem suspicious.
