Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a core pillar of India’s defence manufacturing with the 200-acre BrahMos Aerospace facility near Lucknow. Built at a cost of ₹380 crore under the Defence Industrial Corridor, the unit will produce 80-100 missiles annually, support over 800 confirmed orders including exports, generate ₹3,000 crore in revenue by FY28, and raise indigenous content beyond 85%.
