China remained largely unaffected by Microsoft's massive outage because CrowdStrike is hardly used there. China doesn't use services of CrowdStrike, the company responsible for outage, as it previously blamed China for cyberattacks. Domestic companies like Alibaba, Tencent and Huawei are the dominant cloud providers in China. Moreover, Microsoft operates in China through local partner 21Vianet.
