How will MDR charges on UPI affect shopping for vegetables & items of daily need?

The 0.4% MDR on P2M transactions above ₹2,000 doesn't apply to small merchants operating under P2M framework. Such merchants include those who receive up to ₹1 lakh/month via UPI QR directly into their accounts. Thus, people who sell vegetables or plastic items or operate in weekly markets are unlikely to be affected if they stay under the monthly payment threshold.
