How will proposed 'drone wall' protect NATO countries near Russia?

Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway and Poland have decided to create a 'drone wall' to help defend their collective borders with Russia. The proposed initiative would be similar to Israel's Iron Dome air defence system. These NATO countries will use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to monitor border areas and apply counter-drone systems to intercept drones from hostile countries.
