Russia's Luna-25 mission, launched weeks after Chandrayaan-3, is expected to land on the Moon around August 21, two days before India's expected landing. Chandrayaan-3's launch vehicle has a lesser fuel capacity and thrust and relies on gravitational forces of Earth and Moon, an ISRO scientist said. Whereas, Russia is using a powerful rocket which will directly enter the lunar orbit.
