New labour codes established a statutory right to minimum wages for employees in both organised and unorganised sectors and introduced a Centre-controlled floor wage, below which employees cannot be paid. They've outlawed wage variations based on gender and extended rules on timely wage payments to all employees. They've set overtime pay to be at least twice the normal rate.
