WhatsApp has launched new scam detection features for group and individual chats. It'll include a new safety overview tool where users will be alerted when they are added to a group by an unknown number. Scammers are now also texting users personally. Therefore, WhatsApp has been testing new ways to send alerts to users before initiating conversations with unknown number.
