HSBC Holdings is blocking employees from texting on their work phones, Bloomberg reported. It is disabling the function on employees' company-issued phones, rendering them unable to send or receive text messages. HSBC had already reportedly blocked staff from using WhatsApp on work phones earlier. The move comes amid regulatory probes into the industry's use of unauthorised communication methods.
