Huawei Founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei denied there are any "backdoors" in its technology to spy for China. "If we did that...America's advanced technology...would [have] found that already," he said. This comes after Bloomberg reported that Vodafone Italy found "hidden backdoors" in Huawei equipment a decade ago that could have given Huawei unauthorised access to the carrier's fixed-line network.
