State-owned Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) on Monday said that it has plans to issue up to ₹1,711 crore through tax-free bonds to finance housing-related projects. The subscription for the bonds will open on January 27 and is scheduled to close on February 10. Money invested in tax-free bonds accrues a fixed interest which is exempted from Income Tax.
