Huge gold and copper deposits have been discovered in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Geological Survey announced on Twitter that the discoveries of gold ore were within the boundaries of Aba al-Raha, in the Medina region. Copper ore was discovered at four sites in the Al-Madiq area in the Wadi Al-Faraa region in Madina, officials said.

Gold prices jumped by ₹6,250 to hit a fresh all-time high of ₹96,450 per 10 grams in Delhi on Friday, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Gold of 99.9% purity had closed at ₹90,200 per 10 grams on Wednesday. Silver prices also surged by ₹2,300 to hit ₹95,500 per kg from Wednesday's closing level of ₹93,200 per kg.

China hits back at US, raises tariffs on US goods to 125%

Separately, Chinese President Xi Jinping said China is "not afraid of any unreasonable suppression".
