A huge part of the Sun broke off of its surface and is circulating in a massive polar vortex around the north pole of the star. The phenomenon was caught by NASA's James Webb telescope and tweeted by Space Weather Physicist Dr Tamitha Skov. Solar physicist Scott McIntosh said something odd is happening at the sun's 55 degree latitudes.
