A new study has found that humans and apes share same rhythm in their laugh. Because this laughter pattern was shared among people and the other species, it may've existed in their ​last common ancestor, thought to have lived about 15 million years ago. "However...human laughter still...stands out...in its...degree ​of rhythmic complexity and flexibility," said lead author Chiara De Gregorio.
