Humayun Kabir's party's member held with 108 ₹500 fake notes, arms in WB before bypolls

Humayun Kabir-led Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) State Secretary Ashiq Iqbal was arrested in West Bengal's Murshidabad with 108 counterfeit ₹500 notes, two firearms, and four rounds of ammunition ahead of October 6 bypolls. He was held during vehicle checking on Friday night. Investigators are probing source of the seized items and whether they were intended for use during bypolls.
