Hungary goalkeeper becomes oldest player at EURO

Hungary goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly has become the oldest footballer to play the EURO, after featuring in the Hungary-Austria game on Tuesday. Kiraly, aged 40 years and two months, breaks German midfielder Lothar Matthaeus’s record, who played the EURO 2000 at the age of 39 years and three months. Kiraly debuted in 1998 and has made 103 appearances for Hungary.
