A consumer court in Hyderabad asked Apollo Hospital, Jubilee Hills, to discontinue collecting registration fees from first-time patients and pay ₹10,000 as compensation to a complainant. The hospital was also asked to pay ₹3,000 as litigation cost. The court directed the Telangana Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare to take steps to stop hospitals from collecting registration fees.
