The Hyderabad Police alerted citizens to stay cautious against the SIM-swap fraud after a Delhi man lost ₹50 lakh through a series of missed calls. The victim didn't share any One-Time Password (OTP) or personal details with the accused. In SIM-swapping technique, fraudsters purchase a new SIM card impersonating the victim and later misuse the victim's phone number, police said.
