A 21-year-old final-year student of BSc Mathematics at Azim Premji University died under mysterious circumstances in his hostel on Friday, 10 November. Ashwin Nambiar, a Hyderabad native, might have jumped from the hostel’s 16th floor to end his life, police said. He was allegedly depressed, unable to cope with his studies. The police aren’t yet ruling out foul play.
